Pauline, who are you and what do you do ?

My name is Pauline, I'm 32 and I'm a winegrower in the Côtes du Rhône appellation in the Gard region of France. I took over my parents' vineyard 7 years ago, but I've been working on the estate for 10 years now. I have 50 hectares in private cellars, and I'm very proud of the values passed on to me by my parents. Thanks to them, I'm able to take on a wide range of tasks on the farm, from winemaking and tilling the soil, to sales, accounting and social networking.

If today I take pleasure in being on Instagram, it's to share my profession, my passion, my daily life, but also to show that it's possible to be a woman and a farmer. I'm also Miss France Agricole 2023. Thanks to this title, I can also talk about my profession and show it off to best advantage.

Why are you visiting SITEVI ?

SITEVI is an event I love. It's a bit of a family ritual, because I always go with my dad. You find out what's new, and plan future investments for your farm... It was thanks to this show that I discovered amphora vinification and ageing, which is what I do today.

How long have you been taking part in the show, and what are you looking forward to in 2023 ?

I've been taking part since I was in high school! What I'm looking forward to in 2023 is perhaps some equipment that's better suited to women, since strength is sometimes what I lack in my work. I'm also hoping to discover new dry materials for my future bottling. In any case, I'm looking forward to taking part this year !
