A HOST OF HIGHLIGHTS THROUGHOUT THE SHOW

At this year's show, visitors and professionals will be able to enjoy a wide range of highlights, meetings and conferences:

  • New technologies: new technologies will be in the spotlight at SITEVI 2023, through the show's offerings and the content of certain conferences. They will be represented in the various halls, and particularly in the "LABTECH" in temporary Hall B6. This dedicated area, in partnership with Agri Sud-Ouest Innovation, La Ferme Digitale and La Wine Tech, will be the perfect place to exchange ideas. On Wednesday 29 November 2023, from 5 p.m. in Room C, Hall B5, a meeting will be held to create a privileged moment of exchange between investors, young companies, but also exhibiting manufacturers and top buyers, to accelerate the growth of these companies specialising in new technologies.
  • Innovation at the heart of this year's event: the 2023 vintage of the SITEVI Innovation Awards, a worldwide competition, is exceptional, with 76 exhibitors registered and 106 entries. The international jury, made up of leading French and international specialists, selected 37 nominees. The innovations proposed by the exhibitors reflect both the needs of producers and the changes taking place in the world of agriculture. Despite the wide range of needs covered, three major trends emerged from the SITEVI Innovation Awards:
    • Digital technology and its applications
    • Improving productivity, while ensuring driving assistance, comfort and, above all, safety.
    • Reducing the environmental footprint of farming activities, and in particular decarbonising agriculture.

The winners will be announced on the evening of Tuesday 28 November.

  • Conferences & workshops: SITEVI 2023 will feature a rich programme of 50 conferences and workshops, led by experts to address the challenges facing the wine, fruit and olive-growing industries. These talks are also an opportunity to discuss practical issues and discover trends and innovative solutions developed in France and abroad. Organised by the IFV and the show's partners, these events attract an average of 2,000 participants over 3 days. This year, the IFV is offering conferences on themes at the heart of the challenges facing the wine industry:
    • Agroecology
    • Climate change
    • Equipment and new technologies
    • Oenology
    • Resistant varieties
    • Organic viticulture
  • The masterclasses and tasting area: this is a must for trade visitors to discover the diversity of France's wine and olive-growing regions. Organised and run by the IFV, France Olive and Les Œnologues de France, these masterclasses on wine and olive oil tasting are led by winemakers and professionals from the sector. Themes covered on the wine side include
    • Resistant varieties: Floreal typicity in different French regions
    • Preserving the acidity of wines in the context of climate change
    • Climate change: diversifying vine varieties with drought-tolerant foreign varieties
    • De-alcoholised NO/LOW wines: where and how?

On the olive side, a number of themes will be covered, including: Introduction to tasting French olive oils, and discovering the three families of tastes. French PDO olive oils. Local olive oils from Provence and Occitania. Olive oil: mature olives / mature olives, what's the difference?

In 2021, almost 1,000 people took part in the event. For the first time in 2023, you can take part in an almond tasting with the Compagnie des Amandes!

  • Jobs and training: for the first time, SITEVI is offering exhibitors, in partnership with HelloWork, a dedicated platform for posting their job offers free of charge. This will enable exhibitors to concentrate all their vacancies in one place and send them to interested trade visitors. Jobagri and Vitijob are also once again organising a job dating event during the 3 days of the show, in the forum in Hall B5. This is an opportunity for companies that are recruiting to meet candidates for their vacancies directly on site, and perhaps find the rare pearl. On the training front, students in the sector will be able to find a number of organisations, including APRODEMA in the forum in Hall B5, and APECITA and OCAPIAT in Hall A1.
  • Business Meetings: These meetings between visitors with projects and the show's exhibitors enable them to forge links quickly and find practical solutions to turn their projects into reality. These business meetings generated more than 500 meetings in 2021.
